Making a Difference: How StackAdapt Drove Positive Change With Our Community Partners in 2024
As 2024 comes to a close, we’re excited to reflect on a year defined by meaningful community partnerships and continued progress toward StackAdapt’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) goals.
With every initiative, our goal remains clear: to drive positive change through collaborative, inclusive efforts while supporting the communities we operate in.
This year, we focused on creating and further building meaningful connections with a variety of local and international organizations, each contributing uniquely to our commitment to global inclusion and community support. We sponsored inspiring events, supported educational programs, and engaged with organizations that align with our mission of fostering a more equitable world.
These partnerships are more than one-time engagements. They represent our ongoing commitment to making an impact in the communities that we live and work in globally.
The Get REAL Movement
Throughout 2024, we grew our existing partnership with The Get REAL Movement. As a sponsor for their career conference, StackAdapt was thrilled to support a platform that empowers young people to embrace diversity and pursue inclusive workplaces.
In addition to the conference, we proudly backed their Pride on a Boat event—a unique celebration of LGBTQ+ identities—and the Rainbow Road 5k run. These events allowed us to connect with diverse communities across the Greater Toronto Area and celebrate inclusivity on a meaningful scale.
Stack the Future
Our annual Stack the Future initiative continues to be a highlight of our community engagement, providing scholarship funding to post-secondary institutions.
This year, we focused on supporting women in engineering by establishing the StackAdapt Entrance Bursary for Women in Engineering and offering financial assistance to students from lower-income families or those facing financial hardship through the StackAdapt Engineering Entrance Bursary at the University of Waterloo.
Through these bursaries, StackAdapt aims to make a lasting impact by reducing financial barriers for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and underrepresented groups, promoting equal access to education, and fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Technovation World Summit
StackAdapt also had the honour of sponsoring 15 girls to attend the Technovation World Summit in Santa Clara, California, this year. This global event empowers young women to create solutions to real-world problems using technology. By supporting their attendance, we solidified our dedication to empowering the next generation of female innovators and connected them with a network that will help shape their futures in tech.
Danny’s Music
This past October, we joined and sponsored Danny’s Music’s annual awards ceremony, where we celebrated the achievements of young musicians. This partnership highlights StackAdapt’s commitment to supporting the arts and promoting inclusive access to creative outlets.
Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House
Our work with Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House exemplifies our support for community-driven programs in the US. Margaret House provides essential services to underprivileged families, and StackAdapt is honoured to be part of their mission. Our contributions have helped them expand their outreach and offer support to even more families in need.
Driving Environmental Change for a Sustainable Future
This year, StackAdapt took steps to strengthen its global impact. From organizing an Earth Day digital cleanup with employees across NA, EMEA, and APAC, where staff worked together to reduce unused files and minimize the company’s digital footprint, to enhancing our commitment to environmental responsibility, we focused on making a meaningful difference and supporting sustainability efforts worldwide. For each staff member who joined the digital cleanup event, StackAdapt donated a tree to One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation, contributing over 45 trees.
Scarborough Health Network Named Stack Cares Program Recipient
This year, the Scarborough Health Network (SHN), which provides essential healthcare services to 850,000 residents in the eastern Greater Toronto Area, was the recipient of our Stack Cares initiative. Through this partnership, StackAdapt helped SHN extend its reach for the “Love, Scarborough” campaign by launching programmatic ad campaigns on its behalf, boosting engagement and raising awareness for its initiatives.
Making a Difference in Local Communities
Throughout the year, StackAdapt also spotlighted organizations making a difference in their own unique ways.
From Holiday Helpers to the Wolverines Hockey Team and Boston ShoeBox, we’ve been inspired by the dedication of these groups and are thrilled to support their missions. Each represents a different facet of community care, whether it’s providing holiday gifts to those in need, empowering youth in sports, or assisting underserved families.
Our Goals for 2025 and How to Get Involved
In 2025, we plan to broaden our community partnerships across the EMEA, APAC, and NA regions. We actively seek new collaborations, especially with local schools, non-profits focused on tech education, and organizations supporting mental and physical well-being. We believe in the power of mentorship and look forward to working with partners who can help expand our impact into underserved communities that we operate within.
If you or your organization want to join and help us on this journey, we invite you to connect with us. Please email communitypartnerships@stackadapt.com to explore partnership opportunities.
As we reflect on our community-driven efforts in 2024, we look forward to building on our impact and fostering a more inclusive future for all in 2025 and beyond.
